Clipper blade sharpening services to Grooming parlours, Veterinary practices, Hair salons and the Equine world. This service is offered through our website, our drop in service and mobile services. Our turnaround is fast, normally within 1 - 2 days.

Our mobile services cover approximately 40 - 50 miles, covering the south east, east and Midlands to many different businesses both small and large. Attending grooming parlours and veterinary practices, we will come to your premises and do the work so that your not having to send or be without your equipment. Please contact us for more details.

Our blade sharpening covers all types and makes, such as Oster, Andis and Wahl and Aesculap for pet grooming and Veterinary blades and makes such as Lister, Stewart, Wolseley, Heiniger and Hauptner are some of the larger blades for horses, cattle, sheep etc.

All clipper blades are individually attended to, this gives us a chance to inspect them before and after sharpening. All blades are re ground with accuracy using professional blade sharpening machinery imported from the US, a gauge is also used to determine the correct amount is removed to produce ultimate sharpness and longer usage, as recommended by the manufacturers. We believe in quality of workmanship for a realistic price, and pride ourselves on our work and service. All our work is guaranteed.

Pet grooming blades, are taken apart, sharpened, cleaned, re-tensioned, then "set back" adjusted according to the blade size, then finally tested. We oil all blades and package them securely before sending them back.

Please allow an extra days turnaround if you are sending packages towards the end of the week, allowing for the weekend and the post. When posting to us, please wrap your blades well with bubble wrap or tissue and a cushioned envelope to prevent damage. Please do not send tins, an extra charge will be imposed to cover the extra weight on return postage.

All prices return P&P for first class, standard insurance cover of £46

Orders £80 or more we will cover the necessary insurance cover to return your blades, so please only add the extra insurance if you require it on orders below £80.

Please ensure you are purchasing the correct service. Clipper blades are Horse, sheep and dog blades . Trimmer blades are Human and some pets. Please see the picture on the right at the top of the page, trimmer blades at the bottom.

The Sharpening Company uses PayPal to accept secure payment on-line or card payment over the phone. Please select the product that you want from the table below and select Add to Cart. You will then see a new window open in PayPal showing your checkout. On this page you can adjust quantities and return to this page to add more items.

If you have paid using Paypal, please enclose a copy of the payment conformation with your blades to assist us with your order, Thank you.

We also accept credit and debit card payments. If you wish to pay this way, please either phone us when you have sent your blades, or provide us with a convenient phone number so that we can contact you to take payment before sending your blades back.

All prices quoted include return p&p, Unless you require higher insurance cover. Please note that higher insurance is covered automatically on orders of £80 and above. Please see the bottom of this page for higher value insurance options.

Discount is given for more blades you send e.g.

Clipper blades are priced at the 1 set = £7.50 2 sets = £14.50 and 3 - 6 sets £7.00 each and 7- 10 sets = £6.75 each.

The same applies to Trimmer blades starting at £ 6.50 for 1 set.

Please note: All A5 blades are clipper blades i.e. those used for dog clipping and horse trimming are clipper blades and not trimmers. Please see picture at the top right hand side of the page.
