We sharpen all types of clipper blades, offering a professional service through our website and directly via mail, a mobile and drop off service.
All clipper blades are precision honed with accuracy so as to not only achieve ultimate sharpness, but also enable a set to achieve a maximum amount of work you would expect from a set of blades, this is done by taking off a recommended amount with the use of a gauge for accuracy. It is said by our customers that our resharpened blades have clipped more animals since we have taken over there sharpening services. Most blades especially the larger equine clipper blades can be reground at least 7-8 times before having to renew them. At The Sharpening Company we hone all clipper blades using specialised machinery, for maximum work capabilities, knowing that this is paramount amongst groomers.
Whilst we oil your clipper blades before returning them we recommend running in before use, and re-oiling them. Oil frequently as recommended by the manufacturer, as this will assist in the life span of the blades.
Pet grooming blades are honed and re-calibrated before we send them back.
Any blades that have broken teeth will be ground smooth to be made safe. If too many are missing, we will advise you as to whether they should be resharpened.
Please allow an extra day turnaround if you are sending packages at the end of the week, allowing for the weekend and the post.
All prices include VAT and return P&P for first class, standard insurance cover of £39.
If you wish to to have extra insurance cover on your return p&p of £500 please add £5.40 if you are sending a cheque, we recommend this when sending larger quantities of blades. If you are paying on the website, the option for extra insurance is available below. For all orders of £80 or more, we will cover the return postage and insurance, this will be 1st class recorded delivery with the appropriate insurance cover and depending on value, can be next day delivery. For higher valued items and heavier weights, they will be sent by courier. Please do not add the £5.40 on your order, if your order is £80 or more.
