Professional scissor sharpening
We sharpen all makes and types of scissors for the Hairdressing profession and Barbers, Veterinary practices, Grooming parlours, Tailors, fabric and machinists to domestic household.
Our scissor/shear sharpening service is provided through our website via the post, our drop in service and mobile services to your premises.
We pride ourselves on our work and service. providing services to some top hair salons in our area and guarantee all of our work.
Beauty shears: Upon receiving your scissors, they will be checked and accessed and pre-tested. All scissors including convexed, left handed etc. will then be cleaned, then sharpened, polished, balanced/aligned, and tested.
All types of scissors: material/fabric, tailors, pinking and domestic are all tested in the manor described above.
All prices include return P&P with first class delivery which has a standard insurance cover of £46 for the return postage. We would recommend higher insurance for higher valued scissors or larger quantities. Please view our insurance options at the bottom of this page.
How to pay
The Sharpening Company uses PayPal to accept secure payment on-line. Please select the product that you want from the table below and select Add to Cart. You will then see a new window open in PayPal showing your checkout. On this page you can adjust quantities and return to this page to add more items.
If you have paid using Paypal, please enclose a copy of the payment conformation with your scissors to assist us with your order, Thank you.
We also accept credit and debit card payments. If you wish to pay this way, please either phone us when you have sent your scissors, or provide us with a convenient phone number so that we can contact you to take payment before sending your scissors back.

Hairdressing/Beauty scissorsStandard bevelled scissors - £11.00 which includes return p&p with standard insurance cover. If you would prefer a higher level of insurance, please see the alternatives at the bottom of this page. Premium/convexed scissors - £13.00 which includes return p&p with standard insurance cover. If you would prefer a higher level of insuance, please see the alternatives at the bottom of this page. Salon Thinning/Texturisers - £7.50 which includes return p&p with standard insurance cover. If you would prefer a higher level of insurance, please see the alternatives at the bottom of this page. Service: includes resharpen, balanced, cleaned, polished, replacement stoppers if required, lubrication and finally retested. This applies to both bevelled and convexed/Japanese style scissors. | |
